We Resurface Corian Countertops in Boston, MA

Do you have DuPont “Corian” countertops in your kitchen or bathroom? Whether you have this exact brand or a similar style of solid surface countertop, it’s likely that it can be refinished if no major cracks or material issues exist.

Developed in the 1960s, this type of counter became popular because it was a very cost-effective way to get the look of natural stone, without the high investment.

Unfortunately, over time, Corian counters can become a bit outdated and show some age. If you don’t want to spend thousands of dollars toward new installation, then counter refinishing is just what you need!

Can I Refinish My Corian Countertops?

As long as your counters are still in good shape, they should be able to be resurfaced. Our countertop restoration company can fix most minor imperfections, like scratches, light chipping or discoloration.

What you’re really going to love is how you can get a completely unique look from your Corian countertops than you had before. We have a wide range of colors and textures that we can apply to the Corian surface that mimics the look of natural stone. This allows you to redesign your bathroom or kitchen in a more modern way, without the cost, stress and downtime of a complete renovation!

How We Reglaze Corian Counters

Step 1. Prep: First we need to fully clean the entire countertop surface and remove all debris. We use multiple commercial cleaning products to properly wipe down the top.

Step 2. Prime: In order to prepare the countertop to receive a new coating, the surface must be properly primed. This helps with both bonding and color richness.

Step 3. Base: The first coat will be the base color that you have chosen for your new countertop design. This isn’t done with your typical hardware store tile paint; this is a special coating with hardening agents that adhere better to the countertop and last longer because of the thickness and resilience of the materials.

Step 4. Textured Finish: After partial drying time, a final textured finish coat is applied on top of the base to achieve the desired pattern and style you’ve chosen.

Step 5. Dry: We’ll advise you on the proper setting and drying time necessary to ensure your countertop coatings last and aren’t damaged by premature use.
